This page collects what changed in UFOLOAD for the people who use it: uploading, encoding, the player, ads, billing and the public documentation. It is written from our release history and reflects the situation on the date at the top of the page. Internal maintenance, infrastructure work and anything that does not change what you see or can do are left out on purpose. Entries are grouped by month, newest first, and each one links to the page or guide where the feature is explained.
October 2026
October 3: documentation, languages and account recovery
- Public API documentation. The API documentation is now an open page that anyone can read without an account. It covers authentication, uploads, import by URL, listing files, signed links, WebDAV and FTP, with curl, Python and Node.js examples and a reference of all public endpoints. The OpenAPI description is available in JSON and YAML, and an interactive version with a request sandbox remains at
/api/docs. - Lighter home page. The landing page was rebuilt to load faster. The home and features pages also show the real dashboard, player and encoder with screenshots.
- Public pages in 28 languages. Pricing, features, FAQ and the other public pages now have their own address per language, for example
/de/pricing, so a link opens in the language you meant, and search engines can tell the versions apart. - Password reset by email. If you forget your password, request a reset link on the login page and set a new one from the email.
- Dashboard improvements. A clearer upload quota indicator, one-click retry for failed uploads, a simpler sidebar, an onboarding checklist and a dashboard designed for new accounts, plus improvements to the billing pages.
October 1 to 2: access, billing and playback
- Download button for Pro and Max. Paid plans can enable a Download button in the player and the download page. See pricing for the plans that include it.
- Plans for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. You choose the period when you buy; the monthly price is the same for any period, there is one payment and nothing renews automatically.
- All videos are reachable by link and not indexed. The old visibility choices were retired: every video opens for anyone who has its link, and the watch pages are kept out of search results.
- Ad density works end to end. Paid plans can lower how many of the available ad opportunities are actually used to 75, 50, 25 or 0 percent. The control moved to the Earnings page. Free keeps ads always on. The monetization guide explains the formats.
- Per-plan upload size. Each plan has a maximum size for a single file, shown on the pricing page.
- A proper waiting page. Viewers who open a video that is still processing see its progress instead of an error, and the player switches to the video when it is ready. Playback links are now available right after an import by URL, before conversion finishes.
- Playback fixes. Segment durations in the stream are now exact, so the end of a video no longer hangs on loading. Imported videos play correctly on iPhone. The player no longer pauses at a mid-roll marker when there is no ad to show.
- WebDAV and FTP polish. Folder operations such as create, move and copy work over WebDAV, API key authentication is supported, large transfers are no longer cut by timeouts, empty uploads no longer fail, error codes are clearer, and a duplicate upload is refused instead of reporting a false success. See uploading videos via API, WebDAV and FTP.
- One balance history. Top-ups, ad income, payouts and charges are in one list with filters.
- Teams, chapters and subtitles. Several people can work in one library with roles, the player supports chapters, and text subtitles can be added to a video.
- Storefront open to search. The public pages carry the metadata search engines need and are listed in a sitemap.
September 2026
September 30: traffic, encoding and the player studio
- Exact traffic metering. Delivered traffic is now counted precisely per account and per file and shown on the Traffic page. Plans have a monthly traffic limit that resets with the calendar month; beyond it, extra traffic can be bought as packs that never expire, or is billed per gigabyte. Extra storage is available for a fixed term. How much does video hosting cost shows how to estimate these numbers.
- Encoding studio. A settings page to choose the highest resolution, the lowest rung, the speed and quality profile, the sprite grid for hover previews and whether subtitles and extra audio tracks are imported. A re-encode action applies new settings to existing videos in batches. Adaptive bitrate ladders explained covers what the options do.
- Player studio. Skins, colors, a logo with position and size, rearrangeable controls, behavior on open and a live preview that uses the real player, saved as a default profile or as a profile for a particular domain. It includes 17 icon packs, and the access lists for embed domains, countries and IP addresses now live on its Access tab. See domain locking and geo-restrictions.
- Banner and click-under ads. New ad formats: an overlay banner, a banner while paused, a banner under the player and a click-under that opens on the first click. Ad previews, duplicating campaigns and statistics by format were added to the advertiser cabinet.
- Imports keep more. Importing from a link carries chapters over, along with extra audio tracks and subtitles when the source has them, depending on your encoding settings.
- Notifications and recovery. A notification center for encodes and payments, and a retry button for files that failed to convert. A failed file shows the reason.
- Payments. Payments through CryBit are reconciled automatically and the balance updates in real time. The Business plan is now called Max in the interface.
- A new watch page. A distraction-free video page with a blurred poster background, information chips and a share panel, a friendlier error page, and larger action buttons on phones.
- Bot protection. Login, registration and the guest support chat are protected with Google reCAPTCHA v3.
September 25 to 29: first steps toward the studio
- Player layouts. Player layout presets and per-domain profiles arrived, followed by the live preview and a reset and duplicate guard.
- Flags and currencies. Language and currency pickers now show flags and currency symbols, on the home page too.
- Imports from links. Imports by link keep multiple audio tracks and real subtitles.
About this list
The history above covers the end of September and the beginning of October 2026. Product pages are the source of truth for what is available today: the features page lists the tools, pricing shows live plan limits, the FAQ answers common questions and Make Money explains earning from ads and referrals. We do not publish a roadmap or promise dates for features that are not yet released.
You can follow new articles and updates through the RSS feed. If something in your account behaves differently from what is described here, tell support through the chat in the corner of any page or write to contact@ufoload.com.
