How it is calculated

  • Plans and prices come live from our pricing page data, so the calculator always matches the current price list.
  • Units. 1 TB = 1024 GB, the same units our quotas use. Storage is the total size of the files you upload.
  • Traffic. Hours watched × 3600 × bitrate (Mbit/s) ÷ 8 gives bytes delivered. The bitrate presets are typical totals (video and audio) for the steps of our encoding ladder. Real traffic is often lower because players switch between qualities and viewers stop early, so treat the estimate as an upper bound or enter your own traffic in TB.
  • Monthly traffic quota resets at the start of every calendar month (UTC). Traffic above it uses traffic packs first (a one-time purchase that does not expire), then overage per GB. The estimate takes the cheaper of the two.
  • Storage add-ons are billed per month for the extra size, from 10 GB. Longer terms can be cheaper.
  • Qualities. A single quality works on every plan. Several qualities (an adaptive ladder) need a paid plan, so Free is not offered when you pick 2 or more.
  • Not included. Taxes, payment fees and the Free plan conditions (forced ads and clean-up of inactive files, see pricing) are not part of the estimate.
